xbox 360 pro 20gb, refurbished. HALPE

The later 360s ran cooler. Zephyr improved the GPU cooling, Falcon improved the CPU cooling and replaced the CPU and GPU with cooler-running chips (Opus is Falcon minus the HDMI; it's what they did when they refurbed Xenons), and Jasper replaced the GPU with a still cooler one.

They're not perfect though, and nowhere near as good as the new slims, so keep that shit well-ventilated unless you want it to die.

Edit: I have an Opus that I got as a refurb after my Xenon died. It's been going strong for two or three years now. The case fans seem to run at a ridiculously high speed all the time though, or they're just really really loud.

i wouldn't want to get a refurbished one unless its crazy cheap or you wont use it much

the retail ones give you a 3 year warranty for red ring, which you'll probably end up using. either way, dont stick it in a closed entertainment center cabinet or anything, and have it in the tall orientation for best ventilation

I won a refurbished xbox 360 pro from my university's shitty casino night event and its still going after 3-some years.
