Reading some of the other posts, their is a lot of smack talk about ASCN.

"Carebear" "Stabbed out" "blobbing fleets"

This isn't going to be a flame war, but let's just look objectively.

1) IRON disbanded.
2) ASCN is stil running.

I see a lot of FREE members saying shit about ASCN, bottom line, ASCN has to be doing something right if they can still hold their home and keep their members in line.

I don't know why people get so personal with people using stabbers. It's like wow.. why should people get flamed for using measures to win?

It's like saying, wow US Army is fucking gay for using kevlar to protect them from bullets?

If enemy's have stabbers on when I am have a scrambler on em, power to them.

Honestly, I have no hate for FREE or any other corp or alliance, I do not like some, but I don't go off on rants about how they play their game. Everything has pro's/con's.

Anyways. This post isn't meant to call out any flames, it's just so fucking weird to come to TribalWar and see the forums look like eve-o, infact even more worse.
 
I think it comes from how utterly annoying it is to fight ascn. We've engaged them many times both on their home turf and ours. The problem is actually getting them to engage. Most of the time they will not fight unless they have 2:1 odds.
From being orderd "not to engage iron/g fleets" while we were invading, to their annoying stabbed out FRIG fleets in dek/fade... there is some general hate towards ascn.
 
IRON didn't disband. In fact, they're operating in ASCN/AXE space. They simply left Deklein to do what they want to do, and that's roaming around killing things.

They do what they want, we do what we want, and you do what you want. It just so happens that one of the things we want to do is kill members of ASCN/AXE. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. But we always have fun.

I wont comment on the north ops because I wasnt there. But I was down in Feyth and impass for the last year and a half what the fuck do you expect?

instead of sitting here ripping on carebears for 2:1 fighting in THE HOME SYSTEM WHERE THEY MINE, you should think to yourself wow, what a good group of doods that would drop everything they are doing and come help defend their home. You guys are a small corp of pvp'ers, you cant take out carebears 2x the size of your group? I know the pirate group I run with doesnt have a problem... why? Because they are organized.

Ive seen the defense grid in feyth because I was on the front lines when I could, and its a mess most of the time. Sounds to me like someone is just upset they got blown up and couldnt retaliate by taking out a miner or two because they had stabs.

its as easy as that. There is no underline rule when you join ASCN or AxE that you have to use stabbers, have to only fight when the odds are in your favor, or that you have to be a carebear.


the difference between FREE and ASCN? ASCN is so big that what some members do get amplified, FREE has the beauty of being small enough that no one gives a fuck what you do, and you are forgotten after you do it. ASCN members have stigma that follows them from things that happened since the early days and will never live down bullshit like what you guys do here.

I left ASCN to persue the lifestyle of roam and kill pirate, but had I not wanted to see that part of eve I would have stayed.

why? Because they take care of their own plain and simple. EoG always had a helping hand out to me and others in the corp, and since it was big, there was always people around to hang with in every timezone.

I mean seriously, for you guys its about fucking around, being typical TW'rs with typical TW attitudes and personalities, and that works for you. But when you are running an ingame business like ASCN/AxE, and you have hundreds of fucking people looking to you for direction things change, you can not control everyone and to try and pin a whole alliance of hundreds of players for something a few do shows exactly how lametastic FREE's hatred is for ASCN/AxE.
 
Actually, Shadow, he was speaking of ASCN ops in northern space where they wouldn't engage without 2:1 odds. Between that, and roaming around in stabbed frig fleets ganking miners in stabbed frigs (this was before interdictors), you tend to grow tired of the gutless tactics after a while. It's not that there was never an opposition formed to counter them, its just that at the first sign of it, they would run as fast as possible from anything resembling a PvP ship.

However it's the same thing.

I mean if this is the case, then ok I'll stop asking, because it's just stupid.

But again. I am looking at it objectively, ASCN as pussified as people claim us to be, we still have our home system and we still have our borders, infact we expanded.. thanks to Tribal Souls playing double face with us and BOB.

Again, I have no hate for any alliance, it's a game.

Now, if ASCN was using exploits thats another story. In CS you see that all the time, bitching of other clans because of their hacks.
 
lemme tell you about the one time we chased 15 ascn inties with 3 assault frigs and one inty and they just would NOT engage outnumbering us more than 3:1. Oh, and when we cornered some they had stabs on too :rofl:

A lot of people love this game because there's a risk to fighting unlike other MMO's. If I go out in a stabbed up ship, it's like making a run into empire. There's a very minimal chance of losing that ship. If I don't have stabs, I know that if I fuck up, I'll probably be dead. Right now, I'm just a lowly tackler in a T1 frig. I couldn't care less if I lose a ship so I'm sorta suicidal all the time.

I have never even had the slightest thought towards putting a stab on a T1 frig. I don't even put stabs on my cruisers when I go out. When my fitting skills sucked, I'd put on some nice shit on my frig just to go get it blown up. I never cared because I have a great time doing it. I think this game would be insanely boring if I could just warp away from every battle I'm losing. It also sucks when you have another ship completely locked down and it warps away on you. It's just so frustrating.

A minmitar cruiser, so stabber is probably the wrong term to use.

A stab as it's usually referred to is a Warp Core STABilizer. Every stab you fit gives you +1 warp core strenght. So, if someone warp scrambles you for -1 (a distruptor) and you have a stab fitted, your +1 will negate his -1, and you can still warp. If he hits you with a -2 (a scrambler), you'll need 2 stabs to counteract his scrambler.

As for ASCN, they've accomplished so much in this game it isn't funny. Yes, they're frustrating to fight, but when I was playing, IRON really seemed to have difficulty tackling ANYTHING at all.

Stabs are a fact of life. I usually only fitted them for travel (like when I was moving my Raven up to Dek, 5 stabs FTW). Otherwise it just gimped me too much. I needed the low slots for damage mods since my missle skills were average at best.

Damn, this game has been calling me back lately. Sucks that I terminated my main when I "quit" and lost about 7 months of skills. :(

as I said in my post I was not goin to comment on northern ops because I chose not to go being a miner at the time.

but in his post he said he engaged us many times, in his homeland and ours, so I was responding to his remark that he attacked us on our own lands and we used 2:1 odds. If he didnt mean that then I apologize, but I can only go off what he wrote. I mean honestly, what do you expect ASCN to do when you enter their space? Ask you how many people you have then only allow that many pilots to undock? Are you also saying that you would never as a frig fleet attack a lone member unless it was one on one? Are you saying you all have NEVER killed someone solo while having 3 in your gang? If you answered that no you have never fought an unfair fight that was in your advantage, then yea you are lying and this argument is just about childish hatred for something you guys are not. Industrialist.


Vlasic, if that is the case, im all for it. but then lets keep the fucking hate @ eve-o and in game instead of here? You were the one who originally said we are all TW'rs, am I right? I agree, and I think FREE should take their own advice because I have yet to see and granted I do not whore these forums like I do eve-o, but I have yet to see an ASCN person come in to a post and just rip on FREE as a corp unless they were first shit talked by someone in your group.



Do I care that you guys hate ASCN? not really, cause as I said, I no longer am a part of those guys but they are still my e-friends just as much as tw'ers are. My problem is that you are hating on people here, who are in this alliance by constantly, in almost every thread making shit pot shots at them and their friends. But the fact remains, ASCN has accomplished more then FREE will ever accomplish in game, and you are ok with that, they are ok with that because you both think something different is fun. Again, were you not the one who said do what you find fun in game and fuck everyone else?

All im asking for is a place where TW'ers can come, regardless of what alliance, corp, pirate corp or solo group they run with, get good information from each other, exchange ship fittings and talk about what happens in this game not listen to FREE and its personal vendetta against their enemies...

The average ASCN (and less so AXE) player either is relatively inexperienced in PvP, or has most of his skills in industry related areas. Doesn't mean they are horrible people, just means they have to fight with different strategies. For them, a 1 on 1 is a poor choice. Being a massive alliance, why not use those numbers to their advantage? Yes, it does suck to fight a style like that, but props to them for finding and using their strengths to their greatest advantage.

And of course, that's one of the joys of EVE; death does have a meaning, and "losing everything" including your territory is a very real possibility, and as a result, causes some very emotional arguements. Enjoy it for what it is.

I did originally say that, and I also said the gloves were off several posts later because you took a run at me for no damn reason whatsoever.

I don't know why you feel the need to post a huge diatribe that says the exact same thing as the last thing you said, but do whatever floats your boat.

EDIT: Actually I thought I remeber apologizing to you also because I had misquoted something BEAST had said for you, and then responded to the wrong person... of course I could be wrong, but it really doesnt change the fact that you and I do not like each other, that doesnt mean FREE has to be bitches to other people. That may be the biggest leap of logic I have ever seen on here, and this is TW we're talking about.

I don't even consider you to be relevant, and your opinion is meaningless to me. You're giving yourself way too much credit if you think you have anything to do with FREEE's hatred for ASCN. It's actually pretty laughable.

I don't even hate ASCN. The people I've come across have been very cool on an individual basis. My point, which you have completely missed or failed to grasp for some reason, is that, in a GAME, you need an enemy. ASCN is a fun enemy.

Just like in real life, I dont genuinely hate anyone. I have absolutely no respect for ASCN though. I can't really say that about anyone else in eve.

Wherever you see an ASCN gang in eve, I see a gay rights parade.

They come here to talk about happenings in eve, I guess you can consider the constant WCS LOLEREZKATES whine, or shit talk as "in game" but as you can tell from most ASCN members getting into fights with FREE its getting old for all of us, ASCN or not.

What I am saying that YOU failed to grasp is keep FREE's bullshit about ASCN off this forum, let us use this forum for fucking helping each other with fittings, or telling funny stories about what happened to each other, or good fights. Its really that simple, I made it that simple and you just want to keep arguing because you have no other fun in life I guess.


its a simple fucking request for FREE from me. Keep this forum like fucking Tribes Talk, not like GD if I want to read useless dribble from snaught nosed punks Ill go to GD.
