I have a windows Vista Home Premium OEM 32bit DVD. I have not used the CDKey and I do not plan on it, I have Vista Business that I plan on using instead. Newegg has them for $109, so Im looking for $70 shipped.

Is it possible to use this cdkey to upgrade for free to a 64bit? I've heard strange stories about calling in for support (they shipped me the wrong version, my cdkey doesnt work, etc) and people getting additional cdkeys.

If so, color me sold.

Yes. The key is only tied to the version of Vista, not the processor type. You can order the x64 version disc from Microsoft for something like $10 or just download an Ultimate ISO and use any key you have. Vista knows what version the key goes with and will only install Premium features.
