[win7]Need to reinstall tribes

Just had to have a harddrive replaced and installed Windows 7 as the OS. I haven't seen any download files explicitly mention Windows 7, was wondering what steps/fixes I need to take to get my beloved T1 working

Preferably without 1.4 but if it's necessary whatever

The only issue I have since I did the Win7 thing was a random stuttering related to sounds. i.e., someone says shazbot in global, and I may stutter, or may not. Not predictable.

I read that someone had a similar issue, but I just deal with it.

some people have had worse performance on 1.40 with ati

some have had better performance on 1.40 with ati

i still get that sometimes

i think it involves when the sound/wav is played for the first time

really big sounds cause a bigger stutter (aka 5150 pack) which is why i stopped using 5150

for 5150, yeah me too. But as for the other sounds, it can be the same one that sets it off for me. i.e., the common used ones: Defend our base, vff etc.
