It's ironic because I don't pay a 1/10th of what most of you pay to go to school, and yet my school looks like an ivy league school on a job application or when applying to a specialty school (like dental school, etc.).

You don't know what you're talking about. BYU graduates are well seated in the tops of companies, but the real reason why employers and specialty schools like seeing BYU is because they know they can expect certain standards to exist that will make them a great investment.
