orbital 123 said:Funny, if you look at the federal votes. Alberta and Saskatchewan are over 90% conservative. Saskatchewan votes NDP provincially though. We have had an NDP government(Think a little left of liberal) for the past decade and a half essentially. The cities are liberal the rural areas are conservative. Fucking farmers anyways. The simple fact is Alberta wasn't more say than they deserve based on the way our system works and that pisses them off. So they whine and cry and pound their fists demanding more power or else. The truth is that a majority of people are not seriously considering separating. I would like to see what Alberta would do once oil dissappears or is no longer the main fuel source for the world. I am sure they will come back crying to the rest of Canada.
cept you buy all your power from other states, so...LostAngel said:It's aight, California is like the worlds 3rd ranked food exporter, or something rediculous like that. If California left the states the GNP would drop the US into depression.

saskatchewan is a "have" province with a net outflow of public money, but thanks for showing your ignoranceHellsfury said:Take your head out of your ass Orbital. Perhaps we should see how your opinion might change if Albertans stopped paying for a good chunk of your "welfare" Saskatchewans existance.

Please leave, and take your fucking mexicans with you.Khushi said:california needs to seperate from the rest of the loser states in america
Support proportional representation. It still doesn't give you as many seats in terms of per province, but at least your part would be better represented percentage wise across Canada vs the way it is now. My vote means jack shit living in a conservative ridding and voting NDP or Liberal.Rosco-SS said:Living in Canada. Its an illusion of democracy.
Its representation by population, the heavier populated ares.. the more "Seats" it gets in the House of Commons. And the more seats you get, the more likely you will pass a bill in the commons. So us westerners, who have lower population have absolutely no say and make no difference voting out here.
Ive voted like once out of 5 times.
Do you even know where Quebec is?Master_01 said:this is just another one of quebec's attempts at becomming its own country. they failed and now spread out around the west and are trying to make the westerners want to seperate from them instead.
He obviously does not because that was by far the dumbest thing said in this thread.Vlasic said:Do you even know where Quebec is?
