What is up with the people saying it only took 3 minutes for the VT guy to buy his gun? Does it really only take that long or are they bs'ing this?

The reason I ask is because somebody that lives in my dorm is putting the lay down for 3 minutes protesting gun laws and I basically just want some ammo to talk crap to her. I know TW can can tell me some good stuff on it even if it is just made up bullshit.
