Virtual stock trading competitions

I've posted a few times in GD about this, but it deserves its own thread in here.

Equitrader

They host weekly, monthly, quarterly, and 6 month long competitions. It is completely free, and there are cash prizes. Most sites similar to this, run on a 20 minute delay, but here they use real-time quotes, so it is much more realistic. I am not affiliated with them in any way, I just think it's a great way to learn about trading, while potentially earning some cashmoney.

I've racked up over $5000 in prizes in the last 3 years. :boogie:
 
I've made several hundred as well, including $25 for winning last week's competition.

It only takes as much time as you are willing to invest, there's no minimum trades or required trades.

I'd be better off if no one new participated but it'd be nice to get more thrilling competition.
 
Is this a good way to learn that shit? I mean seriously, would you recommend this? If so, is there some stuff i should read beforehand?
