It's a mining drone, the rarest in the game; it used to drop very seldom from convoys in the days before there was T2(think of it as the Dread Guristas drop of mining drones). And I'd pay that much because I have a collection of rare/faction items. Fact of the matter is that I can't believe I found one, these things are so rare no one ever sells theirs.
 
So it's mostly just epeen? Because I don't think I'd mine with a 1 billion dollar drone that'll get 2 shotted by a frigate.
 
You know what will really make you sick? They did used to drop from convoys, at the rate of about a dozen or more per convoy. We used to sell them for about a mil a pop. Harvester drones used to drop at a rate of about 40 to 200 per convoy destroyed. We used to sell those for about a half mil a pop. I can remember leaving about 200 out in space one time because I didn't feel like hauling that "shit" in.

I left 75 harvesters in the station in syndicate when I left the game for a year hiatus and someone in the corp took em. I'd like to have those lil pieces of gold now thats for damn sure. =(

yeah the guy jumped his FT into EC-P8R, unescorted and unscouted.

That may be one of the dumber things I've seen someone do.
