[Upon Re-Review] Cutthroat Island was ahead of its time

Having released in 1995 (before the "pirate trend" of this generation) the movie was considered a flop for it's time. I remember watching it when I was in high school back then and really enjoying it. Having picked up the blu-ray yesterday for $9 at a local Best Buy I can safely conclude that this movie was ahead of it's time. I still really enjoy it and I think had it been released 5-7 years later than it was, it would have been a big success.

The script was a little weak. It was more of an action movie set in the 1700's. But yeah, parts of it were pretty decent. That old movie Pirates! with Walther Matthau had some moments too.
