Well I stand corrected, I thought you were talking about exit-gates. Though in the case of a gatecamper on an entry-gate, you were fucked most times even before these current changes. With the amount of boosters gatecampers fit, the difference in locking time will be neglible.

Well it increases the sig radius of the target(and forces you to fit a sensor booster as a mid-slot mod), but really it just seems poorly thought out at the moment.
 
Actually, according to the eve-o forums it looks like the penalty is now targetting range and scan res. Looks like they ditched the signature penalty idea. :)

lol, that good since it won't hurt Indys, but now they're basically turning the sensor booster in to a must-have item, so nothing is really changing.
 
Well, it does mean that fitting a stab takes a mid and low slot. They'd have to fit an extra sensor booster if they already had one on. If they fully stack, they will kill setups I think. I personally carry 4 points when scouting, so any ship that's got 4 stabs on will take a year to target anybody, meaning he's completely gimped.

This is only partially true. If the negative effects of a WCS stack without a penelty, then 4 WCSs would only take 2 SB 2's to counter, bringing the ship roughly back up to what it was at. It means that it won't be able to lock any better than where it started(so this would hurt sniping a lot), but a HAC that doesn't normally run SBs will still be a solopwnmobile with just 2 fewer mid slots to use for damage mods.
