It was more of a question of have any of you neckbeards gone through the trouble of configuring the software yet.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Probably have a better chance of getting it to run on a recent smartphone. While the specs of the Pi are better than servers T1 originally ran on (at least on paper), translating that to an emulator doesn't result in equal performance.

You know more about it than I do. I am merely speculating based on my experience with running linux on a Pi and using it like a desktop.
