The Power of NEWSGROUPS

Newsgroups are like a secret, the last thing the government hasn't tried to screw with.

Anyway, to get on them, use Agent. You can get Free Agent to start.

Load the software, get your news group server from your ISP (look it up or call tech support), enter it, then refresh groups. After that, select a few groups from the left box, subscribe to them (makes them your favorites), then get headers for each. You can click each header to read the message, or double click to download any attachments (porn, music files). Then when you're done, clear headers, repeat.
 
newbie bigtime to this news stuff (using agent btw)
ok find a few groups i want or sound interesting whatever
get all the headers

is there a way to search the headers/messages for the files you want?

Agent sucks. Use GrabIt. Best newsgroups proggie I've ever used.

i bought a one month recurring to giganews and so far it's the best investment i've ever made
 
i was still under my 10 gig for giganews so i cancelled it and signed up with newfeeds

if it sucks i will kill you
 
just make sure your newsreader is configed for 3 streams per server, and itl be fine

the servers are touchy when its being connected to more than that..
 
I'm on the awesomeness that is aol. Do i have a server?

If I have to pay for one, I'm also on a 56k, so I don't need 10GB a day.... maybe 10GB a year... What's the best and cheapest w/ binaries?

ummm get cable
you won't be getting any warez on 56k unless you for some reason have a dedicated phone line for internet
