[The 80's] How come in two decades we haven't made better fucking board games?

board games aren't really profitable anymore it seems, thus a lack of attention. I thought that heroes scape game was pretty good, but it never gained any real momentum. Rather then that havn't invested any money in board games except for cool editions. (LotR chess, Nintendo Monopoly, etc)

There are a lot of good board games that have come out this decade, you just have to be german or a board game nerd to have played any of them.

I had all the games in the op. Loved siege.

Also I had this helicopter game where it rotated around the middle and you did missions via the radio or something I forget its name

I came here to post Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne. Both from the last 20 years.

Both those games are total shit compared to the epic masterpieces I posted in the OP. This is the point I'm making.

We went from badass WW2 board games with hundreds of miniature soldiers and games where you shot fucking catapults and exploded castles to a bunch of sissy little women's games where you trade wood for stone and talk to eachother

the only talk in a board game should be trash talk

like OH FUCK I JUST BLEW UP YOUR CASTLE MOTHERFUCKER

not like OH HELLO DO YOU HAVE ANY WOOD I LIKE WOOD BECAUSE I'M GAY

the coolest thing about that picture is the cotton mushroom cloud at the end of the table

that's fucking awesome
