It hit me tonight after looking at the time I've invested and the time I'm looking at to get where I want to be in the game. The time commitment is way too much for me right now and my priorities are in a different place. The game itself is loads of fun and I have had a great time hanging in Triba chat and I appreciate all the help and answered questions, but for now I need to stay focused on my RL goals so I'm going to have to say goodbye to EvE.

Best of luck to TRIBA and Freee and all the peeps on fadecon. Thanks again! :)

If you can afford the monthly payment, why not just keep your char and set some long skill training?

I thought about that, but eventually I have to play the game to make isk to buy skills, ships etc. It's just more time than I want to invest in games nowadays, I'm over 30 now ffs :|

As far as who wants my stuff, there's really no stuff to give, I have only been playing for a few weeks and 90% of my isk went to skillbooks and ships that got blown up pretty quick :)

I'm over 30 too. That's why I chose to play eve because real life takes a lot of time. I like the fact I can set a skill to train, take care of real life, come back, it's done. I won't fall behind friends skillwise :)

I've quit 3 times now, and I keep coming back. Every time I come back, I'm way behind on skills.

It really is best to do it this way. If you can devote a few hours a month to eve, then it's worth it when you have the time to play later.

Echoing this.

One of the most appealing aspects of EVE is that you can still play with a low time committment, great for old(lol30)timers like us. If you can afford the monthly payments, you can continue to log in and train, do an op or mine every once and a while. Or just keep training until your account will expire, set a long skill training let it lapse, pick it up after 30 days, rinse, repeat.

Ok I decided I'm going to keep the account active just to train up skills until I have a survivable 0.0 skillset and then I'll see what happens. Should be ready to try fade again in a couple of weeks. Sorry for the drama :|
