some plots connect some storylines, but not everytime and not all the time

it did, but then TNT acquired the rights to the initial 7 ep season and the following 6 episodes they shot and then didnt air

so they're gonna do 13 eps and then hopefully it gets enough support/traction that they greenlight a second season
