i dl'd t2 (my friend has my disc) and installed it, then I tried to patch it. It then said my readme.txt file was "wrong" and it was unable to patch.

I have a serious boner for T2 now (since the news about T4) and I wanna bring back some old memories. Help??

Renwerx has the most up-to-date version of it that will install everything. All you need after that is Defense Turret and some map packs.

This is due to the update serving getting shut down when Sierra went out of business.

If you downloaded it then you don't need to patch, it's already the latest version. Just make sure to change your shortcut target to 'Tribes2.exe' and not 'SierraUp.exe'.

That or you can just download Defense Turret 1.15 from http://www.triben.de and use the shortcut that it provides. Most t2 servers require it now anyway.
