Spyware Help

I recently had a LOT of trouble with popups etc which i assumed was a problem caused by adware/spyware. I dloaded and scanned my hard drive with AVG and Spybot and removed everything detected but i still get the popups etc. I think the problem is caused by tracking cookies but im totally unsure...Any help appreciated.

It can also be caused by toolbars if you installed any. I don't think Spybot Search&Destroy or Ad-aware SE consider these malware.
