Source: Redskins get No. 2 pick

its not an awful move if the skins are in the playoffs next yr or 2013 because the picks are then devalued.

I can't understand why the rams wouldn't deal with the browns if they were also offering 2 future first rounders or even 1st round next yr and then 2 #2s. the browns will have much better picks than the skins and would have given the rams some badasses for the next 3 yrs.

everyone says the NFL is a "win now" league, but look at the lions

they sucked for so many years they were able to rebuild slowly through the draft and now theyre in a better position long term (assuming they can hold onto everyone) than every other team

stafford, megatron, suh, best

everyone always says you need a great quarterback to build around.
but how the hell do you build when the rams have all your draft picks?

snyders probably hoping that he can make the redskins a better version of the panthers from last year with cam blowing up

which is funny because that would mean one more win

This post is kinda out there. The lions made a lot of terrible draft picks and made some terrible draft day trades too. No one would model their franchise after what they have done. IF they become a good team it will be because of random luck not because they did anything well.

Millen, mainly.

It's a good thing that rg3 is in such great shape because he will be running for his life behind that porous offensive line that Snyder refuses to shore up.

why do any of you listen to those clowns on 106.7? the junkies are good because they're the only show that can swing talking about things other than sports. the rest of them are clowns and are awful to listen to... try 94.3/espn980.

it's not really trading 3 first rounders, since this years is just swapped. it's 2 first rounders and a second to move up 4 spots this year. if RG3 turns out to be a franchise qb that is in the top 5 for the next 8-10 years, then it's worth it and any team would make that deal. we'll see if they can actually grow him as a player. this team hasn't succesfully grown it's own tallent in over two decades.

he's mike vick sans thug thats accurate. i'm excited.

it really is 3 first rounders. that's what it cost to acquire the player. how they were spent is a matter of semantics.

so yeah, it cost 3 first rounders and a second to get rg3
one of those first you were going to spend on someone somehow

but yeah sure ok?

It is one of those moves where if it works out no one cares what you paid and if it does not work out everyone gets fired no matter what you paid.

That said, the skins O line is awful at pass protection and in the NFC East the Eagles Giants and Cowboys finished 1st, 3rd and 7th in the league in sacks last year. This is a pretty shitty combination and it is a problem they obviously will not be able to address in the draft so they are going to have to very much overspend to get another OT and pray for no injuries.

the line wasn't as bad as everyone says.

it's been woeful over the last 8 years or so, so it's just automatic to say the line is awful. they were much improved last year, and if some key players can avoid injury/suspension this year, they'll be even better especially with a mobile qb.
they were really solid in run blocking last year, even with half the line being back ups.

but yeah, if rg3 doesn't work everyone will be fired and we'll be starting over. again.
