Sound Card (Gaming)

I'd like to get a sound card, mostly because my onboard one sucks; it's noisy, it doesn't real-time encode DTS or DD, and the mic input only works half the time. Any opinions?

I'm kind of between the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude (locally ~$165 CAD after MIR), the Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatality (~$155 CAD), and the Xonar DX (~$85, after MIR) or D2X (~$199).

As far as I can tell, the Xonar's EAX-emulating software can be unstable in several games, the Auzentech may have less frequently updated drivers, and the Creative card is a Creative card.
