I'm working on a web based business project with a friend. We have a dedicated server being setup and should be running for Feb 1st.
I'm the only "technical" person involved in the company, but my skills are PHP + MySQL, NOT server admin. In short, I'm gonna double as the server admin until we return profit, or get further investment.
We can't afford the hardware firewall right now, so I'm gunna need a software solution.....
Obviously I am willing to pay for a software solution but bare in mind the cost of the hardware solution is quoted as £90/month ($178 USD / month), so clearly the cost needs have this in mind over the 6 months.
Server is Linux based.
