a work party. had some some drinks. made a sandwich and some cheezits. got a big glass of water. go to turn on the tv and watch some family guy reruns.

ya, turns out that you DO have to replace the bulb eventually in a lcd rear projection tv eventually. after spending too much at the party... i had to fill up my tank on the way home. now i just dropped $180 on fucking light bulb.

MORAL: dont go back in time and buy a RP tv. and dont buy a projector. buy a LCD TV.

the way I see Tv's

are

RP = moderate size/moderate price, large size/large price
LCD = moderate size/moderate price, large size/huge price
projectors huge size/large price

now, with future trends i see LCD getting cheaper... but nothing so far has been able to touch the huge displaying ability of a projector...

just wondering how much upkeep for each of those is... and how often.
