So how's TW corp, and where is it located?

What are you guys mostly doing? Ratting, Pirating, Fleet battles, Diplomacy? I was here when people started playing Eve on trial account but lost interest quickly. Got 1.5months old fighter char now and I'd need a corp. Not playing super actively + I'm EU timezone but could take part in some activity (And generate tax :shock: )
 
the TW corp headquarters is in nonni not sure which station. Tribal War is kind of the empire based starter corp. When you want to head up to Fade and can handle yourself in 0.0 then you can join Freee which is the main corp. People in TW can still join us on some ops and pvp though.
 
What basically is "required" to survive in 0,0? BS and common sense? :)

I'm going for BC atm to be able to do lvl3 mish smoothly for cash. Could do some of them in my Thorax but it's kinda risky. Got 12M or so currently, need like 35M :/ (Brutix + Insurance [+ maybe better fits. Got only basic t1 stuff atm))

You can survive in a shuttle if you keep an eye on local and the intel channels. Oh, and listening to advice from corp mates is a good idea as well... ;)
 
surving in 0.0 means watching local for hostiles and making money by ratting. once you get past the choke points from empire into 0.0 your prety safe and can know whats going on by watching local intel channels. i hear You can rat in 0.0 in a battle cruser but ive never done it. but i have killed tripple battle ship spawns in an assault frig just because the big ships couldnt hit me. i also hear Af are good for L3's so maybe you could look into those.
 
I tried doing a lvl 3 in an ishkur and it ended VERY badly.

Oh and I'm our diplomat. My most recent accomplishment was negotiating neutral standings with CDC by telling them to suckit.

I think it's time to pay vale a visit. bew bew bew!

I recently came to Fade in my BC (Cyclone) and it works against the rats I've found so far. Largest spawn I've seen and taken thus far was a 2x1.1mil/4x others (somewhere around 20k+).

I was doing lvl4 missions prior near the Rens area....never again. Takes too long to make ISK vs ratting in 0.0.

My suggestion is to take on some lvl4 missions before ratting 0.0. Get accustomed to the ship...get the tank working well. The lvl4 mission enemies are close to comparison as to what you'll find near Fade (at least in L-C).

It definitley takes a while for me to take out a large BS, but I stay alive and he will (eventually) go down. I don't know if I'd suggest a Cruiser at all...at least not without help or really good skills. Can't wait for the BS myself.
 
0.0 ratting in Brutix can be done at least. Just requires bit better skills than what I have (Adv Weap Upg etc). Well, guess I'll still train up a bit for better fits and run few lvl3 mishes for cash.

Loaned cash from friend, buying BC in 30mins. Shame that it's a long way until lvl4 mish standing wise Oo

the problem with ratting in a brutix isn't the damage output. I can kill BS rats in fade with a taranis.

The problem is the tank. With a domi I sometimes need a large and med rep running full time to keep up with the damage. Granted, this is with triple >1 mil BS spawns. If ya want to rat in a BC I'd suggest staying in c4c or below.

But at that point you have a greatly increased chance of getting ganked.
 
I can't see how anyone can be ganked with the new FOF system showing in local. BTW i'm a director in FREEE for some reason. Supposedly we have an Alliance, 'Eve Animal Control' with the tag of [LLAMA].
 
You know...I don't know WTF I was on when I posted that shit earlier. I meant to refer to lvl3 missions, not lvl4. Make sure you can tank the hard ones well like The Mordus Headhunters.

I haven't tried lvl4 myself yet...not until I get a couple BSs.

It's mostly based on MWD'ng fast to range, then orbitting at 15km so BS's can't hit you *shrug* haven't tested of course

If you're smart and can stay aligned. If you're looking for ganks, you can bumrush a belt and if you're lucky you'll get to a BS before he notices local. Just don't do it at 0m as some idiot found out in a pilgrim last night. Warped in to a belt right on top of a blasterthron in the same system I was ratting in. He escaped with 36 structure and left his T2 drones behind.

I'm getting bored of Empire atm. Are there any lowsec/0,0 survival "guides", such as what areas to avoid most etc. I know how to use the map, but that's never 100% accurate

Could go by trial and error but i'd rather not get blown up couple hundred times while trying to get there :p
