I wonder.
Does everything a shark eat taste like salt? Do they have taste buds? If they do, is their life just an unending salt flavor? Do they get sore throats?
Perhaps they have taste buds, but lack the ability to taste salt. Wouldn’t their food be rather bland then?
Or maybe because everything they eat is briny, perhaps they prefer eating foods more naturally salt free. Maybe that’s why fish itself is not salty? Need the added salt to taste good.
