SATA newbie question....

So i'm gonna get a couple of SATA drives but i've never messed with em before. I'm not interested in setting these up in RAID array. So I just wanna check to make sure that I can set these up as normal drives without any RAID setup. This is possible correct? And if so is there anything special or different I need to do?
 
You just plug 'em in and go. Don't even need to set up master/slaves, because SATA doesn't need that. You might get a driver floppy with the drives you gotta use, but a lot of drives come without them.
