[Recording] Best minidisc and microphone

I'm looking for the best minidisc recorder and microphone I can get for recording vocal performance.

I've heard Sharp is the best but I'm not sure about microphones or which players actually have line-in jacks.

Budget for both: $170

I know the budget is small but that's the best I can do. I have invites to torrent sites if you can help me out.

So after browsing for a couple hours I'm beginning to realize how dead minidisc is. Is there anything other than minidisc that does good quality microphone recording? Ipods?
