It's probably reassuring to know that while you have found some fairly safe little hole to auger into - the enemy is getting lit up by a fucking warthog watching the neighborhood. I mean, it's got to be better than silence. At least it's the sound of friends doing their job. Even if they are shooting coyotes and goats ;)
 
The steady tic-toc from the clock in my grandparents' living room. Miss that a lot.

I've only prayed a couple of times in my life and once my prayers were answered by a pair of A10s.
