Question about server transfer

I'm looking at getting a host and it allows 5gb of transfer and $.99 for every gb afterward. This is the place I'm looking at. Is 5gb enough becasue I don't want to have to wake up one morning and have to pay $20 becasue it got hit so much. I just want a server to put pictures for forums and small stuff to share between friends.
I'm wondering if this is a reasonable deal or if it is a rip off becasue with three years free there has to be a catch and I'm wondering what it is.
 
5gb is probably more than enough for you, especially if you have no idea what you're doing really. (no offense)
