Proxy IP

So basically I play online poker and want to play with my roomate at home (not even trying to collude) but can't because the poker room blocks people with the same IP playing at the same table. So how do I get around this and is a proxy IP the answer?

proxy might work, unless someone else is using that proxy or they block known proxies.
