[PC Halp!]PC stuck on MB boot screen

So i turn my monitor on this morning to check my torrent status and its stuck on the motherboard boot screen. I tried rebooting and the same thing happened.

Is my harddrive toast?

Does it post?

You can go into the bios and see if its even seeing your HDD.

Give more info.
 
well i didnt get a chance to check all that since i was already late for work. I'll check it out when i get home.
 
UPDATE: I am at home and i cant even get into bios. Wait it just switched screens and asked me what i wanted to boot from. I selected my HD and it now says DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND HIT ENTER.

I guess that means my HD did die?
 
Turn it off, pull out power plug, disconnect the Hard drive cables and then put them back in. Try to boot.

If it does the same thing, you either toasted the HDD or the MoBo.

Also make sure that you don't have a floppy disk in.

i did all that before the last boot. I put my system disk in to see if i can get somewhere
