Patch Update

Perhaps this means they've been released from some of the legal issues, allowing them to talk about it?

Please tell me the server mod part of the join menu's being fixed. Not to mention the voting system in-game.
 
It laggs terribly. even more so than pub mode. In all honesty i would rather see the game fixed before they add in an anti-cheat program, i havent ran into 1 hacker since beta...

Yeah the way i read it was that he didn't want to say anything that would lead to any kind of speculation. I would see no point in releasing a patch that did not fix the bugs.

For now Ill say... Anyone else curious why VUG Guy Wlech Didn't announce this?

Whatever it is I am glad they are finally updating us...

and God i hope the realize the Main things(and really only things) we need are:

1) Netcode
2) Tourny Mode
3) Demos Fixed
4) Status Indicator on Map Download Redirects
5) PB if they really want to but its the LEAST IMPORTANT of the 5.

Don't see bug fixes, tourney mode fixes, performance fixes, or any other kind of fix one might hope to see in a patch.

Way to ditch a whole entire community of gamers. :fu:
 
Wait, wait, wait ... I get it.



They are implementing punkbuster for the other games they are making using this engine. They will then move this patch to the other games.

They're not redoing or balancing the maps, theyre fixing bugs. The bsp holes and collision issues found on Utopia for example.
