For giving me a great recipe for steaks. The olive oil + salt + pepper + garlic combo worked out nicely. I finally got around to trying it out and the steaks were superb.

Yes lamb is on the right track. Boil them in a dark strong beer for a while before putting them on the grill.

they are mostly cooked by the time they are boiled, you could toss them in a cast iron skillet to brown them up a little I suppose, never tried it so I don't know how it would taste.

maybe towards the end throw in some onion, sauerkraut, pear, apple, garlic

Just boil them and stick them in the oven to dry them out(the outer skin that is) a little. I haven't done this but it should do fine.
