Number of pilots in the navy and air force?

Me and a friend were just talking about this, and he was going on about how the Air Force is all about flying, and the Navy isn't, the Navy has a small number of pilots. I told him he should take it up with fancy cat, but he said that didn't make sense.

Does anyone know where I can find the number of active pilots in the Navy and Air Force currently? I'm googling but can't seem to find hard numbers on it.

Also he was saying how the Osprey was awesome. I told him TW told me it was a piece of shit, but he kept arguing. Wikipedia is gonna pwn him on that when I talk to him later though.

See, I had heard similar, that it was a very small amount. I'm not saying the Navy has more necessarily, but due to the size of the Navy I was guessing it was at least close.

C-130s, P-3s, C-9s are just a few land based aircraft flown by the navy
