So many rumors and leaks these days. Again stolen from DPReview.
it's the world's first digital SLR with a movie mode. Oher features of note include a new 12.3 MP CMOS sensor, the D3/D300/D700's fab high resolution 3.0-inch screen. live view and continuous shooting at up to 4.5 frames per second.
The D90 delivers images with extraordinary detail and expanded enlargement capacity, thanks to its improved DX-format CMOS image sensor and an effective 12.3 megapixels. The ISO sensitivity ranges from 200-3200 (ISO 6400 equivalent on Hi1 and ISO 100 equivalent on Lo1)
In a world first for D-SLRs, the D90 offers a movie function, allowing you to shoot HD720p (1,280 x 720 pixels), 640 x 424 pixels or 320 x 216 pixels movies at the professional smoothness of 24 frames per second in motion JPEG format.
The built-in AF motor has been kept. Woo!

This is making Canon look bad.

so how much for just the body?

i dunno if it is making the 50D look bad... it can spit out 2 more fps and is 15MP

The 18-135 goes for $330 but the 18-105 has VR and is brand new.

I'm guessing the D90 body will be anywhere around a possible $800 if Nikon feels generous to $1,000 if not.

Before the 50D and the D90, the last 3 camera bodies Canon released were the 40D, XSi and XS.

The last 3 camera bodies Nikon released, if you don't count the D60 because no one cares about it, were the D300, D3 and D700.

I'm sure Canon really doesn't give a fuck since they will sell a whole lot more of those 3 bodies than Nikon will with their 3. But I'm just saying. It kind of looks bad since they're not doing much about it.

1299 for that lens alone is ridiculous. Or is that the d90 kit total price?
