Miami (AFP) - A 78-year-old white man punched a black protester in the face at a Donald Trump rally and was charged with assault, media said Thursday, in chaotic scenes on the presidential campaign trail.

John McGraw -- who later said that next time "we might have to kill him" -- was also charged with battery and disorderly conduct after the event Wednesday night in North Carolina, the Cumberland County sheriff's office told the local TV station WRAL.

Multiple videos of the assault show McGraw abruptly punching the young black man in the face as he was walking up a stairway with other protesters being escorted out by police, amid cries of "USA! USA!"

Rakeem Jones, the man who was punched, told The Washington Post that the sharp blow to the right side of his face caught him by surprise.

"After I get it, before I could even gain my thoughts, I'm on the ground getting escorted out. Now I'm waking up this morning looking at the news and seeing me getting hit again," Jones said.

Jones, 26, said he went to the Trump rally as a "social experiment."

So.

Anyone notice anything about this 'reporting'?

Forget about recent events... like the knock out games?

Trump has said he would pay legal fees for those arrested punching protestors. Appears this guy will need to use that offer.

had a similar thing happen in my city when Trump came. Bunch of BLM protestors showed up to cause a ruckus and then they film somebody shoving them after they all scream and push for an hour and it's all over the news about how racist donald trump supporters are.

If the races were reversed it wouldn't even have been reported.

When a black person assaults/batters a white person it's not news.

Happened yesterday.

I wonder how many white Americans were murdered or raped by black Americans yesterday. What kind of news did that get?

On the one hand you have someone who conducts a "Social Experiment", which is basically saying I went looking to stir up trouble and succeeded.

On the other hand, you then have someone, who is apparently oblivious to the greater context of their situation, dumb enough to say "Next time we might have to kill him".

You have two parties so obstinate in their positions that they can't be treated as wanting a solution. Only mayhem. Why should I feel sorry for either of them when they are clearly the source of the problem?

Jones deserves to get punched in the face and McGraw should go to jail for it. Fuck both of them. The sooner we clear these two obstacles out of the road, the more likely we'll clear a path wide enough for those who genuinely want progress.

Indeed. The ideal solution is to back up the trucks to the exits of Trump rallys and herd all of the attendees in, both Trumpets and protestors. Then haul them to the nearest landfill.

When Michelle Fields was nudged during a Donald Trump press conference, Ben Terris blamed Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski. Fields went on the media circuit, accusing Lewandowski of assault. Her accusation was later revealed to be false.

Yet the story goes deeper. The Washington Post is actively covering up the false accusation against Trump’s campaign.

This site lays it out here and you can see him grabbing for her arm, you can't see the 'tug' that caused the bruises from this video and you can't tell who did it but it does appear like her grabbed her arm, which is ok in my book since she was crowding Trump.
