It's funny and tragic that comedians in general are far more competent at advertising, and far more knowledgeable about, hell, anything, than our elected officials.

It's not the knowledge or talent that is different, its the motive. Colbert the privately employed clown, is providing a real public service, whereas the politicians, government employed clowns, are only looking to cash in.

If Mitt Romney was trying to get elected by saying things that are true, he'd have a much easier time of it and be a lot more popular.
