new build need help

I have a new build and the motherboard posted error d6

EVGA z68 SLI, Seasonic 750w gold, GTX 660 ti, win 8

I swapped the 660 back into my other computer and its working fine. I put a radeon 4670 in the evga board and the computer booted up andi was able to install windows. I installed the 660 back in the new build and it didn't boot up and posted d6.

any suggestions?

After you are done sandpapering your motherboard, have you tried reseating the graphics card?

Edit: you may also want to try a different PCIE slot.

It wouldn't be the CPU if it boots with another graphics card.

A borked BIOS setting is possible.

If you've reseated the graphics card, and tried the different slots, and tried the PSU, then I don't know what the problem could be. Sandpaper it.

Does the 660 work in a different pcie slot on the new system? Try the 4x. If it works there, you've probably got a bent pin when you seated your processor.

660 ti works fine on my i3 and g540. I installed a gtx 460 on my the new build and well im typing this from it right now. I am not sure exactly what the hell now. Could it be z68 chipset driver or some shit?

Bent pins, PSU, BIOS settings for PCI-E. Yeah its all been covered.

GL!

Oh one more thing. Look up what D6 means. Error codes tend to be kind of useful.
