MLB now owns streaming rights to LoL through 2023 for $300 million

How is it exclusive streaming rights, but the Riot guy in the article is quoted as saying its not going to change how its been freely streamable on twitch etc

MLB is desperate cuz no1 gives a fuk about baseball anymore... though lol is a mistake cuz thats also on a decline despite the CEO lying about the player #s recently

u say that so much it's like u think more about mlb than anybody else on tribalwar.com/forums site

i find any fallacy that morons believe as truth worthy of my attention as a professional troll... from religion to bad games and obsolete sports :sunny:

How the fuck is the right to stream a game that is old as fuck worth $300 million, and how will this game be around for 6 more years. Seems improbable.

I mean... Worlds attracted about 500m viewers? And the main players easily attract 20k viewers each time they stream. Those are pretty good numbers / ad potential. Who knows about viewbots though.

Being around for 6 years? Yeah that I'm not sure about. But this gives MLB a good shot at streaming rights for a sequel (should it come up).

MLB is insanely profitable and has been making a minor comeback beating NFL in some prime ratings

You don't know shit about sports just like NBA wasn't popular around the world (lol Chinese are obsessed with NBA)

All around your clueless

Though I agree this deal is fucking stupid
