Looking to upgrade...some questions.

So it's high time for an upgrade, & I haven't been paying attention to new hardware much at all. I'm looking to get a Barton 2500+ & an nForce2 mobo. Wondering if I should get the Abit NF7-S or the Asus A7N8X Deluxe? Any suggestions?

Shortly after the cpu/mobo/ram upgrade, I'd like a new video card too. Budget's limiting me to either a built by ATI Radeon 9200 128mb ($122 Cdn) or a GeForce FX 5200 128mb Home Theater ($185 Cdn). Which is the better card/value? Current vid card is a gf2, so both will be way better anyways.

i have an nf7-s motherboard. no problems yet.

you can't go wrong with either really.

getting either the radeon 9200 or the fx 5200 would be a mistake. save up a tiny bit more and get a radeon 9600xt or 9600pro for about $160US.

for reference, an fx 5200 performs about the same as a geforce 2 ultra so uh... yeah, not a very good buy.

Thanks. Looks like I'm going to go with the asus mobo cause I can get it cheaper. And I'll probably hold off on the vid card for now.
