After conducting tests, the military has decided to use the thumb-sized "bhut jolokia," or "ghost chili," to make tear gas-like hand grenades to immobilize suspects, defense officials said Tuesday.

It has more than 1,000,000 Scoville units, the scientific measurement of a chili's spiciness. Classic Tabasco sauce ranges from 2,500 to 5,000 Scoville units, while jalapeno peppers measure anywhere from 2,500 to 8,000.

It isn't even that... Chillies have been used for a long time as a non-lethal weapon. Not funny. Curry wouldn't even really be that funny. Whatever.
 
in basic and AIT we used to take the tabasco sauce and dump it in the MRE heaters to make "pepper gas" bombs and chuck them in each others fighting positions to fuck around.

then some guy threw on in a tent at our AIT FTX and put some kid into to respiratory distress. they were talking about fucking destroying the dude who did it, charging him with some outrageous charge. I don't think anyone ever gave him up on it though. we sure as hell paid for it as a group though.
