So i looking on the internet and was kind of bummed out that i missed a few bands i enjoy. Just because i didn't know they were going to be in my area.
Trying to find out where any band that's not mainstream is a pain in the ass. you can check local venues around you but that's not always a sure thing.
one thing you can do is look at a band's myspace but even then how are you suppose to know that a band you might enjoy is going to be in your area? Plus a lot of venues will get the date's wrong on their website. forcing you to do more hunting to find out when the band is really going to be there.
My idea is for a social networking type website. with bands and fans, that's how people will sing up. what you can do is list a genera of music you like and you will receive email/cell phone txt msg updates when a band is going to be in your area, with other info like tick prices and such.
if a site like this already exists then just call me dumb and link me up.
