Limiting 4GB MicroSD to 2GB?

So I just bought a 4GB MicroSD card for my DS. However, when I use it it gets stuck on the loading screen and doesn't seem to load. I think this might be due to that is more than 2GB. Is there a way to limit to so it looks like a 2GB memory stick for the DS?

I had issues with an mp3 player once and I just had to reformat the card. Worked like a charm.

Try FAT16 instead of FAT32 as well

oh well... as of now I just have it in my Memorystick slot on my laptop (fits in perfectly w/ the adapter) so it means i have 4gb of extra storage space.

Fat16 not Fat32....

for some reason the ds has problems wiht fat32 even if you can get it all on there.

its SDHC. SDHC is not compatible with SD card readers. so NO it will not work

Well.. assuming you're using an R4, which you might be using an M3 or something... But if you are using an R4, it does NOT support any kind of micro SD larger than 2gb. Trust me, we got our R4's today and I already was pretty sure it didn't support the 4gb, but I tried anyway... Just gets stuck at loading screen.
