joysticks?

What's a good joystick nowadays. My Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro that I've been using for a decade just broke.

I play X3, Eve Online and Freespace 2 SCP. I've been looking at this thing. Has anybody used it?

(I have the wireless version of that joystick. It's pretty decent, but I don't use it much.)

It's a shame MS doesn't make the Sidewinder Precision 2 any more, that's what I use and I love it.

This isn't a space flight sim. It's a space command and general economics/politics sim.

You don't fly the ship, you tell the ship where to fly. You don't make the ship shoot, you tell the ship what to shoot and it does.

Although we don't "fly" the ships, i must agree that the Saitek sticks are absolutely great. I have an older Cyborg 2000 myself.

I just use my little brothers bigass steel batallion controller. Only use it for freespace 1/2 though.
