Anything that can be done to get it fixed or time to get a new one? Yes, I could call dell, but it's faster to ask TW than some indian.

yes, it's almost like it's overheating. It starts out fine, then gets think pink stripes, then bigger, then that. It actually looks worse when it's on the desktop than with the black background.

oops, guess I should have included some useful info in the post.

It's connected through DVI to my pc. I tried reseating all the plugs, restarting it, resetting it. I connected it to my laptop through VGA, same thing happens. So it's not the video card or the cables. I tried plugging it in a different power outlet too.

This happens when the inside of the monitor is dusty. Take it outside and spray it with a garden hose for about 5 minutes, that should solve the problem.

i also did this with my monitor with this same situation and it fixed it.
