iPod won't turn off...

1) find a tall building
2) find said building's stairwell
3) climb to top of building's stairwell
4) remove ipod from pocket and hold in outstretched arm
5) release




if it still won't turn off, repeat steps 3-5
 
Either plug it in, USB prefered but sometimes any power source will do.

or just wait until it drains the battery :\

However, after it restarts it should be fine.
 
I've had this problem with my video ipod... try going through the menus, selecting a song to play, then pausing, going back a menu or two, and turning it off.

It's some sort of memory issue where you have to clear it out of where it is and go somewhere else before you can exit out and shut down.
 
I had the same issue, I just let it die naturally then recharged it and the problem was gone

My gfs once was like frozen, but the screen was still on and we couldn't reset it or anything. We waited for it to die and then plugged it in and it worked fine after that.

strange that someone in my class had the exact same problem, and asked me about it in class today....maybe I should have tested the TW handshake on him.
