I want to burn a DVD. How do I do it?

I apologize for being so ignorant with computers. I don't do much on here besides email, fantasy football and TW.

I have a burned DVD and would like to make another copy of it. I have a DVD burner on my computer and I have DVD-R's. So how do I burn the movie. I tried putting the movie in the DVD player of the computer and the blank disc in the DVD-R drive but nothing happens. Please help TW.

i myself bought a DVD player that can play divx. then just download them and fit 4 to a DVD-R no problem.

Download DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 - FileHippo.com
you'll want a dual layer (dvd-9) though if you want to preserve quality
otherwise trim audio tracks first and extras if you want to fit it on a dvd-4
edit: tell it to rip to an iso and burn with imgburn.

Ok, since these guys are being asshats, let me help.

Step one: Insert DVD you want to copy into the DVD-R drive.
Step two: Insert blank DVD into DVD-R/W drive.
Step three: Download CD and DVD Burning Software - Alcohol 120% - Alcohol 52% and Alcohol 52% Free
Step four: Run Alcohol 120%
Step five: As program is running, go out and buy a zippo lighter and fluid
Step six: Pour gasoline all over your computer and the room in which it resides.
Step seven: Spark zippo lighter. Toss ignited lighter onto gasoline-soaked computer.
Step eight: Wait 2 minutes, then eject DVDs. They should be sufficiently burned.
Step nine: Fucking die.
