[HUD] TribesGUI.ini coordinate system

Can anyone tell me how to interpret the coordinate numbers in TribesGUI.ini? What are the units? I think from inspection that the system is left-handed with the origin at top left.

Mostly I want to tinker with MPGameSummary, but I'm having trouble making sense of how to interpret the coordinates of the various elements. Which ones are absolute screen coordinates and which are relative to some other object? And how does one figure out which object they're relative to?

And does it seem like no grid was used in making the original? There seems to be a lot of minor variation in things like button dimension and placement presumably owing to their being placed by eye instead of by grid.
