i see on their website, they list it as $19.99 to create a new account which gives you 30 days to play...

what is the monthly cost after that? is it cheaper to purchase it in larger quantities?
 
Don't forget that you can buy timecards for ISK (ingame money), and thereby play the game for free :)

need to make quite a lot though, but it is doable

Ya, about 90mil/month. Once we stop needing to funnel so much money in to the corp, we may be able to get back to mining ops where people are making 40+mil/night(and hence you'd only need to mine ~2 Saturday's a month).
