Help me Tribalwar

So I was playing WoW for a good amount of time and like many other people, after I hit 60, I started getting very bored. So I cancelled WoW and someone suggested EvE, so here I am. As of this point I'm flying a kestrel(caldari) and looking to upgrade to a moa (I have the skill but not the money).

Recently though I've not been playing eve the same way I played other games and though it may be a result of training while offline, I feel like the game is somewhat slow. There are things that I love about it such as the player economy, as well as the bounty system. I havent tried PvP yet but I've come to you all in need of some help or guidance. Does eve get going a bit faster, I realize the mission givers give out missions endlesly and some missions have started to repeat as well, but so far I've only been hunting pirates in 0.4 sector space, it hasnt gotten boring but it hasnt gotten incredibly interesting. I want to give the game a chance, can anyone suggest to me something to do to enhance my experience?

Thanks all

Sounds like youre playing alone and youre just doing NPC missions, yes the game goes way beyond what youve seen thus far.

What are you looking for? A point to say, I'm as good as it gets? It doesn't happen in EvE, you won't ever have a lvl 60 ceiling.

My advice is get in, have fun and go from there.

Well, I'm hoping for more beyond just missions and such, are there quests(not missions but quests, deeper longer more rewarding) beyond the first two agents?

I have been playing solo and have not teamed yet, I think on problem may be that I am utterly lost. In most games there are capital cities and places people hang out, but I have no idea if there are any hubs other than chat rooms where people hang out.

Are there ships that can be obtained other than ones available on the market? most of the rewards I've recieved I could have just purchased in the market, but I end up reproccessing them

Well any of the high security systems could be considered "big cities" in that a lot of people tend to be in or around them due to them being fairly safe. The further out you got he more dangerous it is. For some folks, the ultimate goal is to live in 0.0 space and have a hand in carving out an empire (either helping someone else or making your own). The thing with EVE is that's it's extremely open ended so you pretty much need to make your own goal. Do you want to be the most infamous and feared pirate? Do you want to be an economics mogul with a financial empire spanning the galaxy? Do you want to visit every single system at least once?

As for exclusive stuff, if you rack up enough loyalty with the right people, you can get some very nice and faction specific items as a reward for an offer. For example a faction ship that has much nicer stats than the "civilian" model. We're talking some pretty high levels here though. You don't even start to see the nice stuff until at least 5000 loyalty points. And if you want something like a battleship you need something on the order of 100-150k worth.

The agent missions get more and more complex and lucrative as time goes and you complete more missions.

As far as finding stuff to do, you can mind, trade, hunt rats, run complexes, or find PvP battles. You can also hang out in the Tribalwar channel in-game and learn alot.
