Hay guys, I started Fire Academy this week

I just finished my first week of my 10 months of training required to become a firefighter/EMS-I for one of the counties that touches Atlanta. It's one of the top 10 busiest departments in the nation.

My class is starting in the Fire Academy and once done, we will head over to HQ to begin trained to become EMT-I's. The first day of physical training, the guy ahead of me passed out during a march and another guy that had been there for 2 weeks quit. I bet I lost 5 pounds of water weight that first day.

If you live in Atlanta and get in an accident, there's a chance you will have a fellow t-dubber saving your sorry tail.

Have fun man, it's a blast. One of the most fun times of my life even though it was tough as hell. EMS classes obviously aren't nearly as fun, but you'll use it far more so pay attention. Don't be a cocky ass rookie. Good luck, be safe
